When I think of love stories, I don’t imagine fairytales. I think of survival. Of fire. Of holding on.
Real love isn’t always soft. Sometimes it’s forged through grief, heartbreak, and the sheer will to keep going. That’s the kind of love Mercy and Daniel share. The kind that stands up after being knocked down.
She contacted me months before their trip to Scotland. She wanted more than just pretty pictures.
She wanted something honest. Something that showed the cracks and the light that came through them.
Something raw, and real, and full of breath They chose the Isle of Skye. Not just because it’s beautiful, but because it feels like something ancient. Something wild enough to hold their story. It was about what the landscape sees. The cliffs, the wind, the endless stretch of sky, they know how to carry memory. They know what it means to endure.

We chose the Quiraing for their session, one of the most dramatic backdrops in all of Scotland. Its shifting light and jagged ridgelines created the perfect stage that felt both intimate and epic. Cinematic photography thrives in places like this, where every step feels like a story waiting to be told. We hiked slowly, letting the landscape shape the rhythm of the day. As a photographer, I live for these moments: raw, windswept, and utterly unrepeatable. Photography here doesn’t just document, it elevates. It turns memory into myth.
