(and why it’s one of my biggest pet peeves when couples skip it)
In every wedding I photograph, there comes a moment after the day is done, when the laughter fades, the confetti settles, and the gallery is delivered. Those fleeting, fragile fragments of time that deserve to live somewhere far more permanent than a phone screen. I know weddings are expensive. Every decision feels like a negotiation between the heart and the wallet. But your wedding album isn’t just another line item. It’s the one investment that outlasts everything else.

It breaks my heart when couples skip the wedding album. Because those photographs ,the ones filled with emotion, laughter, and meaning, deserve more than to sit on a hard drive or a computer screen. They deserve to be seen, touched, and revisited. An album transforms your photographs into something tangible and timeless. It’s your story, bound in fabric (or leather), ink, and quality craftsmanship.

Yes, digital galleries are convenient. But they can never replace the feeling of sitting together on a quiet evening, turning pages that hold the heartbeat of your wedding day. Your album becomes a piece of family history. Your new family’s first heirloom. The thing your children and grandchildren will one day pull from a shelf and say, “Look how in love they were.” Or “look how much hair dad had!” That’s my personal favourite.

I’ve seen first-hand how beautifully printed wedding albums age. Decades from now, your dress may be boxed away, your flowers long gone, but your wedding album will remain. It’s the one thing that can truly carry your love story through time. So yes, it’s an investment. But one that will outlast you, me, and everyone reading this. And when you think about it across a lifetime, that makes it practically priceless.

Whether you want classic linen, rich velvet, rustic leather, or something uniquely tailored, your album should feel as personal as the story it holds. Every detail, from the layout to the materials, is designed with intention, artistry, and longevity in mind.
